Prince Rupert features a mix of upscale and casual restaurants and pubs throughout the community and visitors are often surprised by the variety of dining options. There are over 40 restaurants offering everything from pub food to specialty and ethnic cuisine, sushi and vegetarian fare.

No visit is complete without fresh fish, and our seafood is among the best in B.C. You can feast on mouth-watering crab, prawns, shrimp, halibut, rockfish or delicious B.C. salmon. You will be pleased to know that there are shops offering great coffee and tempting desserts for your after dinner stroll.

In Prince Rupert, shops are typically locally owned and operated and feature an eclectic mix of locally, regionally, and nationally produced products, including the works of some of Canada's most prolific local artists.

  • Breakers Pub

    Breakers Pub on the Waterfront in Cow Bay.

    Drop in for a drink, appy, lunch, or dinner. We specialize in local seafood & steak with a large variety of beer, wine, and cocktails.

    Take in the scenic harbour view from our deck or watch sports on the big screen. 

  • Bob’s on the Rocks

    A family-run business located at the Rushbrook Floats that caters to sport fishers. Stop in for our famous “jigger” muffins while you pick up a fresh sandwich, coffee or other goodies for your fishing charter. We are open from 5:00 am till 8:00 pm 7 days a week from May-September long weekend. We can book fishing charters with accredited guides. We also have sea or salt ice to pack your fish (stryofoam coolers available), and rent crab cookers. 

    We have a restaurant onsite, serving fresh halibut and chips, chicken strips or wings, or a “Bick on a Stick”, open from 11:00 till 7:00 daily.

  • Waterfront Restaurant on the Harbour

    Located in the Crest Hotel.  We specialize in North Coast cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Our menu features fresh local seafood, pastas, filet mignon, rack of lamb,  and decadent desserts. Enjoy an exquisite British Columbia wine from our fully stocked cellar.

    Delicious home cooked and fresh caught seafood that delights the palette and the senses.  Two types of chowder daily.  The restaurant is situated in the same building as the market.
